Adding Outside Certificates

Anyone who has completed coursework outside of the Indiana Learning Paths website can upload the certificate to the external report data file in their ILP training account.

Please take a clear picture of each certificate and either email/text it to yourself or scan it to your device. Download it into your documents or pictures folder first. Then on the same computer or device, do the following:

  1. Login to I-LEAD

  2. Click "Start your Indiana Learning Paths"

  3. Click "My Certificates"

  4. Click on the "Transcript" tab

  5. Click "Add External Report Data"

  6. Enter the name of the course and input the data from the certificate

  7. Then click "File"

  8. Find the picture you saved in your folder and upload it

  9. Then click the green "Save" button at the bottom left of the screen

  10. Once it's been saved, go back to your “Transcript” section again to view it under the “External Report Data” section at the bottom of the page. It should be listed there if successfully uploaded.

Note: If you wish to keep a digital record of any outside training, this section is a safe place to keep all your outside certificates. However, it is up to the user to keep physical copies of their training for the duration of their career in child care. Certificates that are also uploaded in this way are not automatically added into the total completed training hours either and may need to be manually calculated separately. Also, they arent tied to CCIS , so licensing cant see these unless they are with the educator and they physically bring them up for her to view
