I-LEAD User Types
I-LEAD hosts three types of user accounts: guests, educators and provider admins. Each user type has varying degrees of access and is responsible for different kinds of tasks.
Guest: This is the default account type. If the system does not find a consent form based on your DOB and SSN, click Skip to finish account setup and go to the I-LEAD Dashboard. With a guest account, you can do training through “Start your Indiana Learning Paths” but will not be connected to past consent forms or a child care site until you have merged with your old records (if applicable) or accepted an educator invitation sent by a provider admin.
Educator: This account is assigned to those who have accepted an educator invitation or are able to merge consent form and training records from another I-LEAD account. Educator invitations are sent by provider admins to connect an educator’s account to the license and facilitate the consent form. Educators are responsible for managing their individual records with Indiana FSSA’s Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning (OECOSL) through I-LEAD. Most educators are professionals working within a program with a background check on record with OECOSL. Qualified caregivers in CCIS are listed as “associated educators.” For family child care homes, household members are also considered educators in I-LEAD.
Provider Admins: These users are responsible for managing child care and school-age programs with Indiana FSSA’s Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning (OECOSL) through I-LEAD. Provider admin status is either granted after submitting a licensing application on I-LEAD or by accepting an admin invitation sent by another provider admin at a child care program. Anyone managing a site is a provider admin in the I-LEAD system. The state determines the provider admin via the license applicant on record for a program in the licensing database, known as the Child Care Information System (CCIS).
